528 Crossroads Collection is based in close cooperation with SOS Children’s Villages. It is an integral part of Karen by Simonsen. Each year Karen Simonsen is traveling to a third world country to develop a new business project. The basic aim is to work with local people who need financial support and development within their own competencies and resources. Karen Simonsen works exclusively with local people and the country’s raw materials. The project must be sustainable for the local population, and generate an economic return during the period of cooperation.

Each season a small collection of various products developed by a local population is launched. The project is implemented in collaboration with Karen Simonsen.
Each collection can vary and be full of surprises. Prices and qualities vary depending on the time and place, and the number of orders, can not always be honored. Any piece from 528 Crossroads can be perceived as a kind collectors item since it is only produced in limited numbers.
